Trove is a product of Trove Family, LLC, a family-focused technology company. We make tools that help parents and caregivers connect with children through daily questions, activities, and private memory archives.

We operate at troveparent.com and trovefamily.app. When we say "Trove," "we," "us," or "our," we mean Trove Family, LLC.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to make Trove work for your family. Here is what that includes:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Family profile data — information about your children (ages, nicknames, developmental stage) that you choose to provide to personalize questions.
• Content you create — responses to questions, journal entries, memories, photos, and notes you store in your Trove.
• Usage data — basic information about how you use the app (e.g., which features you use, session length) to help us improve the product.
• Device information — device type, operating system, and app version for technical support and compatibility.
• Payment information — processed securely through our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

More specifically, we do not:

• Sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
• Use your children's responses or family memories for advertising purposes.
• Share your data with data brokers or marketing platforms.
• Build advertising profiles from your content.
• Use your family's data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalize the Trove experience for your family.
• Send you daily questions and activity suggestions (which you can turn off anytime).
• Maintain and improve the security and reliability of our service.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Process payments for subscription plans.
• Send you product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time).

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Trove is designed for parents and adult caregivers — it is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

When parents enter information about their children (such as a child's age or nickname), that information is managed by the parent's account and is subject to the parent's control. Parents can delete this information at any time.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately at hello@trovefamily.app and we will delete it promptly.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We work with a small number of trusted service providers to operate Trove. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us. They include:

• Cloud hosting — to store your data securely.
• Payment processing — to handle subscription billing.
• Email delivery — to send you notifications and daily questions.
• Analytics — aggregated, anonymized data only, to understand product usage.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety of our users, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

We take the security of your family's memories seriously. We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you promptly in the event of a breach that affects your data.

Your Rights & Choices

You are always in control of your data. You can:

• Export your memories and content in a portable format.
• Delete individual entries, your child's profile, or your entire account.
• Opt out of marketing communications via the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Trove after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
